Information for professionals wanting to refer a parent/carer for access to a Riding the Rapids group.

Here at Encompass Psychology we provide facilitator training only and do not deliver Riding The Rapids groups for parents and carers directly.  We have however, delivered training to practitioners from a range of statutory and voluntary sector services across a number of regions in the UK. If you are a practitioner working with a family who you think may benefit from accessing a Riding The Rapids group, we would recommend contacting your local children’s services teams in your area, such as Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services, social care and other voluntary sector services to see whether they deliver Riding The Rapids. Some services will advertise their Riding The Rapids groups through their Local Offer website therefore it may also be helpful to search there.
